Character creator
Status: Draft. Live in the sandbox campaign. Every number on this page is TEMP: they are first guesses that are still being tuned.
NEW GAME doesn't drop you straight onto the map. First you pick a campaign, then you make your boss. In the sandbox that comes down to a face, a class and exactly two traits: there are no points to spend and no presets. Then you build your outfit's name and arms, and pick where on the map you start.
How you use it
- Title → NEW GAME → pick a campaign → START ▸.
- THE PERSON: name, birthday, look, then WHO ARE YOU? Pick one of four class tiles and two traits.
- NEXT: THE OUTFIT ▸ only works once you have a class and two traits. Its tooltip says what's missing: Pick a class. or Pick two traits.
- THE OUTFIT: the outfit's name and short name, then your arms (shield, division, primary, second and charge colours, the charge). SURPRISE ME rolls the arms.
- TERRITORY: PICK MY SPOT ▸ (click any pale town in a live state, and it becomes home) or RANDOM SPOT ▸.
A new press of NEW GAME starts a fresh creator. BACK from the outfit page keeps what you made.

| Choice |
The four tier 1 classes: Street Thug, Thief, Crook, Hustler. The creator opens with none picked |
| What it says |
Under the tiles, the picked class's line: what each point of its skill gives him, and which tier 2 classes his men of that class can grow into. A quote card speaks for the class |
| In play |
The boss's class works like a soldier's. Its line lifts his fighting sheet, and he can climb his class path the same way a soldier does |
| Outfits run by the game |
Every boss has a class. When there's no pick, he gets the tier 1 class of his best skill |
